MicroDairy Designs Eco-Flex Packaging System

Our Eco-flex packaging system was designed to meet the regulatory requirements for mechanical capping and sealing at the lowest possible cost but with maximum flexibility. The filler/capper costs $1500. It will handle glass bottles, plastic bottles, and can even be modified to handle foil sealed yogurt cups. It will work with packages as small as half-and-half creamers and as large as gallon jugs.

Different containers may require different carriers or carousels. We’ve made about 40 different types of carriers. An optional foil seal heater head with temperature controller is $600 if you need to process foil sealed yogurt cups.

Finding containers:

If you are planning to use plastic bottles, I recommend that you find a local source since bottles are so bulky to ship and store. All dairy products have to be packaged in approved dairy containers, so most state regulators have a list of all of the approved container manufacturers in each state. You find the perfect container and we’ll design a carrier to fit it!

Everything I know about packaging I learned by reading the advertisements in these two magazines. Furthermore, they always have articles on sustainable packaging trends as well as consumer issues in packaging.
